I draw much of my inspiration from interiors, architecture, history, fashion, nature, and life experiences. Austin has long been my favorite city, and I recently had the privilege of designing and capturing an inspiration shoot at one of the city's hottest rooftop locales. The concept of this shoot, influenced by a fashion-forward minimalism, merged elements of city life with subtle 1960s/70s impressions. The downtown scene served as the perfect backdrop for a blending of textures with a clean, neutral palette. A contemporary tablescape featured white Phalaenopsis orchids, bud vases, and air plants that are quintessentially "Austin." The earthy textures seen in the gray linen napkins, natural fiber charger plates, and whitewash farm table contrasted beautifully with the sleek gold flatware, acrylic dinner menus, and ghost chairs. A decadent skyscraper all its own, the abstract "concrete" cake reflected silhouettes of the surrounding architecture. The rose gold ceremony frame suspended a modern geometric pendant, incorporating a hint of Hill Country nature through accents of floral and greenery. A mix of luxurious paper and acrylic, the invitation suite featured a clean grey font and linear motif. The bride's wedding jumpsuit was a chic, sophisticated alternative to the traditional gown. Two different veils were paired with the suit which featured a full pant leg for the ceremony converted to a playful cuffed capri for the reception. An air plant bouquet added a whimsical touch for a look that was simply adorable.

Austin's charm, artistic quirk, and diverse landscape guided the vision for this photoshoot, and what a joy it was to work with an incredibly talented team of vendors in the corner of the world where I feel most at home.
